🔴 Our Military has made progress during a day of heavy fighting:
🔴 In the Area of #Daryino, the clearing of AFU strongholds continues. There has been some progress over the last 24 hours.
🔴 In the Area of #Leonidovo, battles continue. Here too, according to data from the field, our troops are advancing, the enemy is forced to retreat.
🔴 The Village of #Kruglenkoye is already completely under the control of Russian troops. Our stormtroopers are developing their success, attacking along the beam towards #Nikolayevka, which then turns into #MalayaLoknya.

🔴 Over the past 24 Hours, the AFU have been fiercely counterattacking in almost all areas of the front in the #Kursk border region, trying to slow down the advance of our military:
🔴 In the Direction of #Leonidovo, the RFAF are advancing north of the village, and have taken another forest belt under our control. In the village itself, the AFU have firmly entrenched themselves and mined all approaches from the west.
🔴 In the Direction of #Viktorovka and #MalayaLoknya, our troops developing the offensive, methodically clearing forest belts south of the #Kruglenkoye village. They report advancing another 1.6 km. Our troops are also consolidating their positions east of #Kruglenkoye.
🔴 On the Approaches to #Nikolayevka and #Viktorovka, exhaustive battles are ongoing, the loss of which could seriously destabilise the front for the AFU and pose a threat of a cauldron for their units in the north, in the area of #Pogrebki and #Sorochino.

🔴 On #Lgov this Morning, the AFU launched another attack with US HIMARS on a peaceful city in the #Kursk region. The strikes hit the Sugar Factory, the TPP and several residential buildings. One of the missiles destroyed a gas pipeline, starting a fire at the site. 2 people were killed in the attack, and 1 more later died in the hospital. 5 victims were hospitalised, including 1 woman in serious condition.🔴 Rescue Services responded quickly, extinguished all fires that broke out after the shelling and cleared the debris of damaged buildings. Acting head of the region Alexander Khinshtein left for #Lgov, and an operational headquarters was created.🔴 By Evening, all houses in #Lgov were supplied with gas and electricity again. The broken windows to which the military and rescuers had access were initially covered with foil to restore the thermal contour of the buildings.

🔴 In the Border Area, the frontline has stabilised again. Judging by the lack of data on major attacks, the regrouping of Russian troops is underway and the AFU are hastily strengthening their defensive lines:

🔴 At #Sverdlikovo, our troops are gradually driving the enemy closer to the village, inflicting fire damage on him with both KABs and artillery and drones.

Generally, Washington has systematically achieved its goals to sever EU's ties with us and 'economically kill' the #EU by deindustrialisation and turning it into a sales market.
🔸Official Kiev and the Western Press continue to probe public opinion regarding negotiations and territorial concessions on Kiev's part, to show Trump, who takes over on 20 Jan, that they are ready to follow the new master. At the same time, the AFU continue to receive supply from the #West and prepare new politically motivated military operation for a so-called ‘strong position’ at the negotiation start. We, on the other hand, invariably publicly declares that Kiev's current signals are uninteresting, emphasising their populist and often multidirectional contradictory nature.
🔸 Against the same Background, Kiev organise massive UAV raids on our territory. On the night of 5 Jan alone, 37 UAVs were downed in #Rostov and 13 in #Bryansk regions. The AFU's terrorist strikes against civilians in frontline regions continue unabated. The RFAF carefully monitore foe clusters in the #Bryansk, #Kursk and #Belgorod directions, promptly striking at the accumulation points to avoid any attack actions.
🔸 The Kremlin's Lack of Interest to negotiate is due to the Russian Army's retention of the strategic initiative at the front. In #Kursk region the AFU control zone has halved compared to the beginning of foe's adventure. The foe is trying his best to hold positions, sparing no effort to use personnel and Western armoured vehicles for counterattacks.

🔸 The Transition to a new technological warfare continues to develop. The foe is getting more and more hits with fibre optic cable copter-type UAVs, impossible to counteract. The technology is known in the RFAF which were the first to massively apply it in the Kursk region. Against this background, the saturation of the front with shotguns and improved staff structure of units become more urgent. The lack of attack and reconnaissance drones remains problematic, while the stumbling block is still the work of UAV services, which remain the '5th wheel' in units. The hope for systemic changes is given by the announced creation this year of a new branch of unmanned systems troops.
📌 Thus, the success of the Russian Army in heavy combat remains almost the only factor that really determines the political statements of the parties to the conflict. The #US, as the main stakeholder in the war, continues to receive economic benefits from the fighting and ideologically justified actions to forcibly sever #EU's remaining economic ties with us. Of interest in the coming period is the expected Ramstein meeting in #Germany on 9 Jan, where up to 50 defence ministers from different countries will try to guess the wishes of the new Washington leader of the collective #West.

🔸 The Transition to a new technological warfare continues to develop. The foe is getting more and more hits with fibre optic cable copter-type UAVs, impossible to counteract. The technology is known in the RFAF which were the first to massively apply it in the Kursk region. Against this background, the saturation of the front with shotguns and improved staff structure of units become more urgent. The lack of attack and reconnaissance drones remains problematic, while the stumbling block is still the work of UAV services, which remain the '5th wheel' in units. The hope for systemic changes is given by the announced creation this year of a new branch of unmanned systems troops.
📌 Thus, the success of the Russian Army in heavy combat remains almost the only factor that really determines the political statements of the parties to the conflict. The #US, as the main stakeholder in the war, continues to receive economic benefits from the fighting and ideologically justified actions to forcibly sever #EU's remaining economic ties with us. Of interest in the coming period is the expected Ramstein meeting in #Germany on 9 Jan, where up to 50 defence ministers from different countries will try to guess the wishes of the new Washington leader of the collective #West.

🔹 In #Kursk Region, the main event of yesterday was the enemy's counteroffensive that began.🗺 👆 The AFU threw several armoured columns from #Sudzha in the direction of the Berdin Farm. The enemy was stopped in intense fighting, lost up to 200 militants and dozens of equipment units, from the field reports of the Ukrainian command's continuing plans today to continue attempts to break through our defences. Yesterday there were reports of downed Ukrainian missiles in the skies over the region. At the same time, the RFAF, taking advantage of the enemy's concentration of efforts near the Berdin Farm, launched flanking strikes. The 'North Troops Grouping' reported the liberation of the #Leonidovo settlement (enemy resources do not recognise this yet). In addition, our troops began active offensive operations in the area of #Makhnovka and #Dmitrukov. A significant role in the destruction of the Nazis was also played by the military pilots and forward air spotters: having waited for frost and hardening of the ground, the enemy also waited for excellent weather over the region, which facilitated the work of our aviation, including on the rear of the AFU. In the near future, the AFU will continue to attempt a counteroffensive, they write from the field. Another adventure of the enemy is explained by the fact that Zelensky needs to report to dozens of foreign defence ministers at the Ramstein meeting (to be held on 9 January 2025).

❗️It is reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted an airstrike on a local boarding school. The enemy claims that up to 95 people are under the rubble.
🔻However, according to data from August, no more than a hundred residents remained in the occupied city, making it unlikely that they were all in one building.
▪️The images of the destroyed building published by the enemy were indeed taken in the area of the school, but they do not reliably assess either the scale of the destruction or the number of casualties.
▪️Most likely, the strike was carried out by Ukrainian formations in order to get rid of undesirable persons whom they had to maintain. And in this way, they also attributed the responsibility to Russia.
