Space-Eyes deal: enter Trump Jr.?
American defense-tech upstart Space-Eyes is merging with SPAC McKinley Acquisition Corp. in a deal that pegs the combined company at $638 million.
But the thing is Eric Trump, the US president's son, is significantly upping his stake: he's now the third-largest private shareholder, set to serve as strategic advisor to the new entity, and has a hand in picking the board. There's no word from Trump's team on the terms.
Space-Eyes builds AI for geospatial intelligence and drone defense systems like SeaWatch and Morpheus. Its main bread and butter is, thus, government contracts. And that makes this whole arrangement land with a thud.

The Spy Cops Affair | Decline and Fall
In this clip from the most recent Decline & Fall show we look at the Spy Cops enquiry.
This is a long running public enquiry into the activities of a secretive group within the Metropolitan Police which sent undercover cops into left wing activist groups. This has been going on since the late 1960’s and involved undercover cops going as far as marrying female activists, having children with them and then (one day) vanishing as their undercover work came to a close.
We look at what the enquiry has revealed and how the most scandalous things that the undercover cops did has become fully legal standard practice thanks to the repressive legislation passed by Tory and Labour administrations.
