Let it be understood that the world is on the brink of nuclear war due to the unrelenting push of the US ruling elite to maintain imperialist supremacy over all other nations. It was the Anglo-Americans who chiefly spearheaded the Cold War, as a way to defeat the Soviet Union and (to them) the menace of Communism. Britain itself had done something similar at the turn of the 20th century when it triggered WWI, in an effort to keep Germany from attaining world parity. It's in the nature of empires.

More problematic for humanity, it has been the Anglo-Americans, since 1945 led by the US, who, always protected by a huge disinformation machine, have maintained a ceaseless search for nuclear and overall military advantage over Russia in order to attain their ultimate strategic dream, the ability to decimate Russia through an overwhelming nuclear first strike. Given that neither the Soviets, nor Russia today, ever wanted to "conquer the world," as endlessly repeated by Western propaganda, the US objectives, aimed at preserving global plutocratic rule, are simply evil.
