🇺🇸💵 US transports $600 million of stolen Iranian oil across Atlantic - reports
The US has expropriated around six million barrels of Iranian oil, in what the Tasnim News Telegram account described as an act of piracy.
The cargo, worth approximately $600 million, is currently being transported to the US through the Atlantic Ocean, the publication reports, citing TankerTrackers.
The oil was seized from Iranian tankers detained by the US in the Indian Ocean in May, as the country grapples with a fuel crisis that has sent gasoline and diesel prices to historic highs, while the Strait of Hormuz remains closed.
👉 Regular gasoline at the US pumps averages $4.48 per gallon and diesel is at a nominal record high of about $6.51–$6.53 per gallon, as of late September. US Strategic Petroleum Reserve crude oil stocks fell to 284.6 million barrels, their lowest level since October 1982.

🇫🇷🇮🇱 France defended allowing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plane to cross its airspace to the UN, citing international law does not require action despite an ICC arrest warrant for alleged war crimes.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pascal Confavreux told reporters the clearance was "in full conformity with international law.
The Rome Statute does not impose any obligations regarding overflights of its territory by a state plane which has a passenger who is targeted by an arrest warrant."
Flight-tracking app Flightradar24 showed Netanyahu's plane flew over Greece, Italy and France. A spokesperson for Italy's Foreign Ministry said they could not immediately answer whether Israeli authorities had sought permission for an overflight.

To answer, Venezuela should not be compared to giant powerful countries not in the backyard of the US—but it is— and it is also held to this higher standard by westerners who do not live in it and can’t even elect decent politicians in our countries.

But it is up to them to decide and it is they who will face the consequences of those decisions. None of this suddenly happened with Maduro’s kidnapping and departure. There were changes within the government long before that. Decades of Chavismo don’t suddenly vanish overnight. That’s hogwash.
Maduro has not been mentioned publicly while Delcy stands next to Trump, which as a PR move is beyond disgusting and says it all. It’s an insult to everything Venezuela stood for. If I were in charge of their press I would be fuming. There is an absolute failure to explain what is happening, intentional or not. But public perception is most always not reality. Most don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. It is impossible that one person manage a country’s affairs alone; agreements are reached by a group.
Venezuela are one of many nations who have lost much to empire and many more will fall to the evil Zionist-imperialist pursuit of the Donroe Doctrine and Pax Judaica. How long can ideologies live when you lack basic needs and are constantly under attack without the means to fight back? This depends on many things.
Venezuela isn’t and never was millennial old mighty Iran, so the comparisons are moot. Latin America are young countries, birthed from colonialism via Spain and Portugal into neocolonialism, coups and regime changes via the United States and west, similarly to African countries. They need allies. Not a reality for the far way Asian countries with armies and millennia of experience.
Yet people definitely have a double standards when more powerful China/Russia & their relations with Saudis, US and Israel. China continues trading with Israel and supplying Saudis against Yemen. China is a major trading partner for the US who imports everything from them.
Meanwhile Putin met with demons Kushner and Witcoff, and is entertaining deals with the devil for some fake peace. The Kremlin constantly compliments Trump, the war criminal, in charge of the empire persecuting the Balkanization of Russia—even after getting bombed by Kiev with US-NATO weapons and funding. Yet these narratives are twisted.
We can all angrily point and rail against Delcy’s seeming treachery but beyond that and beyond made up analysis from shady anon accounts we don’t know exactly what happened. Most people railing online will not endure the consequences of what is happening to Venezuelans and most wouldn’t last a day under sanctions or bombs. They’ll move on to the next story of the week.
Not sure if it’s racism or a form of blinded ignorance but this is constantly happening with analyses from westerners on countries in Latin America and “global south.”
Perhaps it’s only what US Americans and westerners who say they’re “anti imperialists” know to do: rail when their ideologies fall and cheer when they feel they’re winning, but never create anything remotely like it in this hemisphere.

A French court found Christine Lagarde guilty over 400 million euros of public money, refused to punish her because of her reputation, and three years later Europe put her in charge of its central bank. Here is the full story.
In 1993, tycoon Bernard Tapie had to sell Adidas to become a minister, and he handed the sale to the state-owned bank Crédit Lyonnais. The bank sold part of it to front companies it secretly controlled, then flipped Adidas for roughly double within two years and kept the profit. When Tapie found out, he sued the French state for fourteen years.
In 2007, Tapie backed Nicolas Sarkozy for president. Sarkozy won, and his finance minister Christine Lagarde moved Tapie's lawsuit out of the courts and into a private panel of three arbitrators. In 2008 the panel awarded him 403 million euros of taxpayer money, 45 million of it for "moral damages." One of the three arbitrators had hidden ties to Tapie's lawyer. Lagarde's own officials urged her to challenge the award. She refused.
In 2015, French courts annulled the whole arbitration as fraud and ordered the money repaid. Tapie declared himself broke and died in 2021 with most of it never recovered. And the darkest detail: Crédit Lyonnais itself had already collapsed in the 90s and cost French taxpayers around 15 billion euros in bailouts. The public paid for the bank's sins twice.
In 2016, a special court for ministers (twelve of its fifteen judges are parliamentarians) found Lagarde guilty of negligence with public money. No fine, no sentence, no criminal record, because, in the court's own words, her personality and her national and international reputation counted in her favor. It's all about the "REPUTATION." The IMF reaffirmed its full confidence in her that same week. In 2019 she became President of the European Central Bank.
Nobody who made the 403 million euro decision paid a cent. The man who received the money died broke, the taxpayer ate the loss, and the minister found guilty controls the euro. ▪️Other political performers, like US presidents (especially Trump who actually performed in scripted "reality TV" shows and live performances with World Wrestling Entertainment for years before becoming "president"), the EU "leadership," and literal actors and clowns like Ukraine's Zelensky (he was an actual actor/comedian before becoming "president" of Ukraine) play similar roles and should be analyzed in this context rather than as "leaders" with any degree of agency or actual political power;
▪️Real policy and decisions are made by multi-billion dollar multi-nations corporations through a network of policy think tanks and massive lobbying, influence, and media networks simply using these politicians as layer of interface with and insulation from the general public - the fact many people, including many analysts, regularly forget this and instead obsess over these political performers is a daily reminder of how efficient this system of perception management actually is;
