When I opened my eyes, he wasn't there;
I panicked and I searched everywhere.
From destroyed buildings to cemeteries, he was no where to be found!
He knew how sad I become if he is not around.
A year ago those bad uncles attacked, so much blood was spilled;
Lots of families vanished, my parents too were killed.
The school where I used to go, the park where I used to play;
They where bombed overnight, reduced to debris in a day!
Snatching my childhood, they say they prevented a war,
Very proudly they took everything which I used to adore.
Was crying on remains of dreams, when I first saw him;
Standing beside carcass of his mother, his condition was also grim.
The two sad souls met, the two sad souls became friends;
Whole day searching for food, we started meeting our ends.
Life was again happy as if all the gloom disappeared;
In the noise of rifles, because of this love the atmosphere was cheered!
But that day without him, sadness once again reached it's peak;
Why did he leave me? Was our friendship so weak?
Running from dawn to dusk, I found him near the lake;
I hugged and kissed him, promised will never do such mistake.
A lady with the camera asked us to capture this moment;
Next day newspapers captioned- " Happiness in the torment".
She won the Pulitzer though our condition remained the same;
Maybe a dog and a child couldn't question-"who was the one to be blamed?"

I am not a beggar not even poor.
I am so rich and an absolute doer.
I even donate millions and billions.
But I don't have a penny, only love affection, a trillion.
My donations are not physical sure!
But any desease by love and care i can cure.
I don't have a big house to adopt this dog.
My heart is bright and bigger enough,
To keep it safe from evil mind's smog.
I have priceless pennies of love
And huge houses of care
Eyes of heavenly hope
And a heart so rare.
I ignite not only the bush
But also rusted stereotyped mind.
Nowadays people have lost the thing which is called love
And they are very calm
And don't even try to find.

The rain
The rain brings rest
Dark clouds hover for days
The Sun evades the clouds
Then, one night, rain falls
In torrents, drenching the
Dreamy earth. The farmers
Get busy dressing the moist
Earth for weeks. All the while
The earth is at rest, having
Another ritual bath of the
Year. How relaxed and cute
She grows, like a blossomed
Maiden, ready to be shy.
And the drops glide down her
Feet, with the scent of flowers.

Poem: Will
Every day and every night
I walk alone
And start to fight
With the life's claws and deadly nails
With its perpetual untamed might.
I walk and walk in the rain.
And keep bearing the despaired pain
As agony is must for a gain
Blurred gets my vision
And my sight
Can only pray to God,
As it is my only right.

THE INVISIBLE RAIN
26 June 2008, Thursday
A long day at work. Exhaustion all over my body. Reluctant to drive, I headed towards the parking lot, only to find my car missing. After some panicking and calming down, it struck me that I didn't bring my car to work. (Mind, where you at?)
My partner wanted it, and I gave in, not before he played the "I'm back from a long voyage" card.
So, after a quick scan for cabs (to my luck, I found none!), I decided to exploit every citizens' right - public transport.
Found no buses in the closest bus stop despite waiting for quite some time. Grew impatient, and decided to just walk back home.
Started pouring down heavily - not the normal rains everyone experiences, but the kind that inverts your umbrella. Managed to reach a shelter and waited the rain out.
Heard a man call out to me from far. To my surprise, he was without an umbrella or any sort of protection against the rain, and so were everyone else.
Soon, he was so close to me that I could hear his moustache whistle everytime he spoke. He used the choicest of words to abuse and judge me. Asked me why I was gesturing holding an umbrella, and if I was trying to con people. Clueless, I replied in negation and pointed out to the pouring rain. The words became no less kinder, only this time, by more like him, followed by pushing me out of the shelter, claiming it to be only for 'sane people'.
So, there I was, helpless, chattering like a monkey, out in the rain, with an umbrella that started wearing out, only wishing they could empathize with my life.
A second life that I led - a schizophrenic one.
I must've convinced myself a million times - before I headed out in *my* rain - just because they don't see what I see doesn't make me any more insane, or them, any less sane.
If only they could understand.
If only they chose to visualize the seemingly invisible rain.
If only they would not see me as an outcast, or get intimidated by me.
If only...

WHEN I MISS YOU
When I miss you,
I become like the earth without the sun.
A child without fun
Cold and dark.
For I miss your royal smile's spark
My hearts beats in a frozen cage,
As my soul turns to a blank page,
Where once upon its mate's beautiful face stayed.
Life can be poisonous
And death venomous
But you are the antidote
To both.
When I miss you,
I wear sadness like a smile
And confuse eternity with a while.
I guess all I want to say is this;
That it's hard not to be with you,
When all I think of is you.

Title: Just Another Thunderstorm
Helpless I may be, to stop this thunderstorm,
One obstacle after another, that is just my life's norm!
Will is my umbrella, that shall keep me from being drenched in this rain,
Until this pitter patter can do nothing but go down the drain!
It cannot take away, all that I cherish!
I shall keep my strength until this storm itself shall perish!
