A whistleblower revealed that Brazil's far-right Bolsonaro family dynasty met with Meta to discuss US plans to interfere in Brazil's election to prevent Lula from winning

#Lula's Facebook and Instagram accounts were censored a few days before the first round of the presidential election. This had a huge impact because Meta-owned apps are the most popular in #Brazil. #Meta later admitted Lula's accounts had been restricted but claimed it was a "technical error".

The whistleblower, Nadia Beller, is a Bolivian journalist who was almost killed by hitmen hired by Fernando Cerimedo, a far-right Argentine operative linked to the US government. Cerimedo was photographed with Donald Trump Jr. and the #Bolsonaro family, and received an award at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort months before he was arrested for the failed assassination attempt against Beller, his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
