New recordings reported by The New York Times this week show Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the late US Senator Lindsey Graham privately coordinating a bipartisan group of lawmakers to denounce the International Criminal Court (ICC) just days before the 2024 US election.
The footage, part of roughly 400 hours filmed by British documentary maker Alex Holder for a planned project on Graham, captured two calls on October 29, 2024, weeks before ICC judges issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant.
Khan was removed from his post last week in a vote by #ICC member states, a decision UN special rapporteur #FrancescaAlbanese said lined up "neatly" with efforts to neutralise Netanyahu's warrant.

The United States used one of its most powerful air bombs, weighing nearly a ton, to strike a residential building in Iran, resulting in the deaths of three people, according to The New York Times, citing satellite images and expert opinions.

Almost all of the estimated 60,000 migrants who entered Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta from Morocco over the past few days had left by August 1, Spanish authorities said.
Spanish soldiers and police oversaw the return of the remaining migrants at the border, while Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska said the situation had been "almost entirely reversed."
Authorities said at least 67 people died attempting to reach Ceuta, where many migrants swam around the border barrier separating the enclave from Morocco. The sudden influx prompted concern across Europe and led several EU countries to strengthen border controls.
Leaders of 22 EU member states called for an urgent meeting of the bloc's interior ministers to coordinate a response and prevent further irregular crossings.

Thursday’s deadly attack on a residential neighborhood on Qeshm Island used a Mark 84 high explosive bomb – one of the heaviest munitions in the US military’s inventory.
🔴 The strike killed a taxi driver, his wife and their 2-year-old son, and buried their two other children alive in the rubble.
🔴 The bomb blast created a crater at least 30 feet wide, displaced 20 neighboring households, and spread debris and damaged vehicles up to 200 feet away.
🔴 The densely populated Chah Tangu neighborhood of Qeshm City consists mostly of working-class families, and, a NYT analysis based on OSINT photos, footage and satellite imagery “found no indication of a military site near the family’s home or any reports of military casualties from the strike, which the Iranian authorities typically announce.”
🔴 Built by General Dynamics, Mark 84s, often fitted to JDAM guidance kits, are designed to target large, often fortified military targets, from bunkers to rail yards, not civilian areas with no military utility whatsoever.

Torrez’s office asked the DoJ in February for unredacted files after he reopened a dormant criminal investigation into activities at Zorro ranch, a remote 10,000-acre property in desert scrub outside New Mexico.
It set a 31 July deadline for the department to share relevant records. As it approached on Friday, the justice department did not respond to a request for comment."
