At least 45% of the nation’s tap water is estimated to have one or more types of the chemicals known as per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances, or PFAS, according to a new study by the U.S. Geological Survey. There are more than 12,000 types of PFAS, not all of which can be detected with current tests; the USGS study tested for the presence of 32 types.

The plan is part of a strategy to apply "maximum pressure on the #Gaza Strip and #Hamas".
It follows the blocking of aid from entering the Gaza Strip on Sunday after the end of the first phase of the ceasefire deal.

People crowd around to fill their gallons, and the sisters often wait for more than three hours each day before they can return home and haul two heavy 16-liter jugs back to their family. This has become the family’s only way of getting #water.
